INTERFACE MISSION
Interface Mission ensures the implementation of the base funding programme for interface institutions between academia, defence and enterprises, with the objective of boosting these connections, namely through the creation of knowledge transfer infrastructures, such as the CTI and CoLAB. It is guided by 4 lines of action, under which CTI Aeroespacial falls:
1 - TECHNOLOGICAL AND MARKET FORESIGHT
Preparation of market studies in the aerospace sector, including the systematic identification of opportunities and needs, the identification of new products, processes and services, and mapping of trends and technological and consumer trajectories.
2 - RESEARCH, DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION
Planning, fundraising, management and materialisation of research, development and innovation activities (technological, product, process and service) in the Space sector, within the areas of security, defence and sustainability.
FAL: CARGO ROBOT WITH AUTONOMOUS NAVIGATION
3 - BUSINESS TRAINING AND QUALIFICATION
Technical and technological support, as well as qualification of the industry associated with the aerospace sector.
4 - PROMOTION, DISSEMINATION AND INTERNATIONALISATION
Dissemination of information to sector players, including the holding of workshops, demonstration actions, dissemination and sharing of knowledge, and activities associated with promotion and internationalisation, such as scientific articles.
SUPPORTED PROJECTS
Given these lines of action, CTI Aeroespacial also supports other educational and associative projects, in order to promote innovation and the preparation of young people for the job market in the Space sector.
ESPAÇO AO CUBO & THE TEJOONE PROJECT
Espaço ao Cubo - Juvenile Association is a non-profit association that brings together students from various faculties in Lisbon and aims to develop technical and educational projects to promote knowledge about the Space sector among young people.
The main of these projects is the CubeSat TejoOne, a 1U microsatellite under development that aims to detect space debris from 3 cm in diameter through the use of a Star Tracker camera with dual use for attitude detection and debris detection. CTI Aeroespacial supports this initiative by providing materials to enable the production of this project.
